A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Hélder Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luuk van Rhijn. volibears's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Rodolfo Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Mook, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Chicão Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jan-Willem Oldenbeuving took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodolfo Siqueira. A A Arizona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of volibears booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riemer Klein hit a great ball. Bertus Dongen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Siqueira having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Mazinho Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A A Arizona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Marcus Mook's late challenge caught a A A Arizona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Mook helped the player get up and apologised. Marcus Mook hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59th minute, Jan-Willem Oldenbeuving hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Hélder Pinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabinho Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Luuk van Rhijn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The A A Arizona fans cheered their team off the field, for while volibears had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
