Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) volibears's Marcus Mook started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcus Mook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Bertus Dongen put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Valentin Sabin. Jan-Willem Oldenbeuving hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Americo Sotil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to volibears getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Frits Drok hit a great ball. A hard shot by Nereo Oliviero from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Luuk van Rhijn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. volibears's Luuk van Rhijn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save volibears from getting a goal against them. Luuk van Rhijn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raul Faron, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rein Nibbelke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raul Faron got free with Luuk van Rhijn in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute, Raul Faron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luuk van Rhijn was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Valentin Sabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Riemer Klein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertus Dongen in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valentin Sabin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Pianello del Lario FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Marcelo Savier hit a great ball. If Marcus Mook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Americo Sotil to make the kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Pianello del Lario FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of volibears:s goal. The goalkeeper, Valentin Sabin, was totally fooled by volibears's Rein Nibbelke, who 54 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After 58 minutes, Rein Nibbelke made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Pianello del Lario FC's Valentin Sabin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Valentin Sabin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcel Jorna in the 64th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertus Dongen got free with Valentin Sabin in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Mook had several of the Pianello del Lario FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Valentin Sabin as he didn't even see the shot coming. Bertus Dongen might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valentin Sabin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bertus Dongen ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-5 when Marcus Mook sped through Pianello del Lario FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Valentin Sabin. 77 minutes into the game, volibears's Bertus Dongen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valentin Sabin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-6. Marcelo Savier hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Valentin Sabin was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Marcus Mook capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcus Mook really showed his touch with that goal: 2-7. After a defensive mix-up in Pianello del Lario FC's zone, Marcus Mook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Sabin came out of the goal and Marcus Mook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nereo Oliviero during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nereo Oliviero kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute of the match, Marcus Mook got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Sabin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Valentin Sabin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theo Bosz in the 93rd minute of play. Jairo Jayvier kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Valentin Sabin made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Marcus Mook sent off a good shot on target. Rein Nibbelke hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. When the match was over volibears could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pianello del Lario FC throughout the match.
