Leon Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percival Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Percival Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Leon Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The goalkeeper, Percival Souto, was totally fooled by Leon Sport Club's Abelardo Sanches, who 66 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 71st minute, Ronaldinho Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Cavalcante came free, but Percival Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Poetass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Percival Souto should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the game, Umberto Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leon Sport Club the free kick. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Umberto Mendes hit a great ball. With a little luck, Poetass FC's Percival Souto got control of the ball when Marcelo da Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leon Sport Club's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
