Viorel Mestecăneanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 47 minutes, Jonas Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

52 minutes had been played when some careless play by CF REALCipri's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tadeu Botelho was slow to take the kick. During this time Vasco FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Vasco FC's corner Tadeu Botelho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Viorel Mestecăneanu quite easily take care of the ball. Vasco FC's Tadeu Botelho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Viorel Mestecăneanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Jonas Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viorel Mestecăneanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Motta in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Sabin Siniştean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes CF REALCipri got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Nicolae. After 78 played minutes Jonas Veloso rounded CF REALCipri's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 84th minute, Virgil Boieru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeu Botelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Toader Tunar kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, CF REALCipri's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Veloso came free, but Viorel Mestecăneanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Nicolae charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Nicolae the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basarab Nicolae kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Toader Tunar might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wellington Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toader Tunar ran back to his position shaking his head.
