The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Vilalobos during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Franciszek Gejda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. 48 minutes into the match, Valadas's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Dombroski came free, but Lucílio Bentes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The KSF Racovia Częstochowa players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valadas were winning 1-2.

Lucílio Bentes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karol Dombroski in the 51st minute of play. Franciszek Gejda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Castelo Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Sylwester Kaczeniak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Humberto Abrantes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franciszek Gejda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 66 minutes of play, Valadas's Ronaldo Lage made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franciszek Gejda was left in no man's land by his defense there! 76 minutes into the match, KSF Racovia Częstochowa's goal looked a bit too open when Máximo Rego came free, but Franciszek Gejda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KSF Racovia Częstochowa's Franciszek Gejda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Castelo Branco in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, KSF Racovia Częstochowa's goalkeeper Franciszek Gejda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Lage. The KSF Racovia Częstochowa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valadas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
