Zeca Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Braun having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Águila's zone, Miguel Fontes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Braun came out of the goal and Miguel Fontes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Braun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro França, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Teodoro França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. David Braun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Luisão de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Braun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeca Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Braun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luisão de Senna went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Flores got free with Pedro Rangel in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Luisão de Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Braun. Club Deportivo Águila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luisão de Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Zeca Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Águila defense, Luisão de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Braun. The Club Deportivo Águila fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Braun should have stopped the shot. The Club Deportivo Águila players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clube Audax Metropolitano were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisão de Senna to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Clube Audax Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Fontes. In the 61st minute, Luisão de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Braun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Wiliam Martins was substituted for Miguel Fontes. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Sandrinho da Mata was substituted for Teodoro França. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Peña didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Braun was a little too slow when Luisão de Senna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-6. A collision led to Clube Audax Metropolitano getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Wiliam Martins hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Luisão de Senna ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Braun. David Braun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Félix Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Clube Audax Metropolitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Luisão de Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Braun. When the match was over Clube Audax Metropolitano could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Club Deportivo Águila throughout the match.
