André Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Romário Borges in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by BURITIS FC's Almir Trigo. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind BURITIS FC's goalkeeper Adrianinho Arósio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, BURITIS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo da Mata came free, but Adrianinho Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BURITIS FC's Betão Botelho got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romário Borges hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Adrianinho Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Betão Botelho made the kick off in the second half. André Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adrianinho Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute Agnaldo da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caskinha Sport Clube's Agnaldo da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, André Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Agnaldo da Mata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caskinha Sport Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agnaldo da Mata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vágner Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Agnaldo da Mata, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 96 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adrianinho Arósio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
