The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Sven Aleberg put in a rough tackle. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Solskin! Solskin:s Tommy Ståhlberg showed great skill when he stopped Kåre Wassenius:s penalty. After some careless play in the Solskin defense, Kåre Wassenius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Ståhlberg. The Solskin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Ståhlberg should have stopped the shot. Rickard Smed recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Rickard Smed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Ståhlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kåre Wassenius in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Ulf Arenstedt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Ståhlberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Solskin's Tommy Ståhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kåre Wassenius in the 25th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, Solskin's Rickard Smed made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rutger Cane was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Per Västerberg came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Solskin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Västerberg couldn't finish the play.
The wind increased when Kåre Wassenius made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Ståhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isak Smed in the 51st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kåre Wassenius in the 66th minute of play forced Solskin's goalkeeper Tommy Ståhlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Solskin's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Hellqvist came free, but Tommy Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kåre Wassenius took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Ståhlberg. Tommy Ståhlberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. After a defensive mix-up in Solskin's zone, Håkan Arhenius stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Ståhlberg came out of the goal and Håkan Arhenius tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Ståhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Arenstedt in the 78th minute of the match. Ulf Arenstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Ståhlberg having to interfere. After 80 minutes, Valentin Holm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Solskin and the Stakbröte players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Stakbröte booed when Solskin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Solskin's goalkeeper Tommy Ståhlberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Ståhlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Wassenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91st minute, Kåre Wassenius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stakbröte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Solskin's Tommy Ståhlberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isak Smed in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Solskin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stakbröte.
