Spectators: 7479 (Terracing: 5611, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bennie Anneese kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Huvudstaden booed when Osdorp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry van Zijl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osdorp FC's Mario van Zwieten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Alefors in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Osdorp FC defense, Dan Hjälm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario van Zwieten. The Osdorp FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario van Zwieten should have stopped the shot. In the 18th match minute, Huvudstaden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens Berggren to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the match, Dan Hjälm notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Osdorp FC's Mario van Zwieten. Mario van Zwieten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joakim Gallberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Koster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes, Corné Diggele mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Osdorp FC and the Huvudstaden players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Osdorp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corné Diggele to maneuver through the defense. After 31 minutes of play, Huvudstaden's Yngve Ugla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mario van Zwieten was left in no man's land by his defense there! 40 minutes into the game, Jens-Åke Alfors cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Mario van Zwieten was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Yngve Ugla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mario van Zwieten was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yngve Ugla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jens-Åke Alfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mario van Zwieten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Huvudstaden's Yngve Ugla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mario van Zwieten. That made the score 0-6 after 59 minutes of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Yngve Ugla tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mario van Zwieten saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mario van Zwieten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Drake in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Hjälm in the 69th minute of play forced Osdorp FC's goalkeeper Mario van Zwieten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Osdorp FC's Rolf Meijer got a free kick in the 69th minute. When Jacobus Knol fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Osdorp FC's protests and gave Jacobus Knol a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Carl Alefors managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huvudstaden's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Alefors was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario van Zwieten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yngve Ugla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario van Zwieten having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens Berggren during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Dan Hjälm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Dan Hjälm dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mario van Zwieten, 0-8. Huvudstaden played a much better game than Osdorp FC and deserved their victory. The Osdorp FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
