After 5 minutes, Damiano Perazzolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merceron United and the Mosqueteiros 4EVER players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th minute, Eugênio Capixaba sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merceron United's Carmine Latini didn't even have to move. After 13 played minutes Mosqueteiros 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Braga. Dario Gelsomini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Samuca da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Carlo Mandelli notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Samuca da Costa. Samuca da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Carlo Mandelli sped through Mosqueteiros 4EVER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuca da Costa. A collision led to Merceron United getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Damiano Perazzolo hit a great ball. After 39 played minutes Merceron United got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Bulla. Carmine Latini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Sá in the 42nd minute of play. Germano Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmine Latini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germano Sabóia to make the kick off. Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Samuca da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Mosqueteiros 4EVER from getting a goal against them. Dario Gelsomini hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Raúl Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merceron United's Carmine Latini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 71 played minutes Mosqueteiros 4EVER got a freekick which was hit by Maurício Braga. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Facchetti in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuca da Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuca da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlo Mandelli in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute Carlo Mandelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carmine Latini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Sá in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Germano Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Carmine Latini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raúl Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Carmine Latini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chants of Merceron United echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mosqueteiros 4EVER had held the ball for most of the match.
