When Wasyl Sidorowicz came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Karpaty Krosno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wasyl Sidorowicz couldn't finish the play. C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo were furious when Fidel Perfecto was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Prospero Curcio kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Arturo George made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Zula Marut sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute Dariusz Perkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo George showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacek Mierzejewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Evelio Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Doctor Khumalo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bartlomiej Munko. After 45 played minutes Karpaty Krosno got a freekick which was hit by Zula Marut.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zula Marut to make the kick off. After some careless play in the C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo defense, Zula Marut kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo George. The C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo George should have stopped the shot. The supporters of C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo booed when Karpaty Krosno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Sidorowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evelio Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Bartlomiej Munko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd match minute, C.A.S.D. 1° de mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Garcia to maneuver through the defense. Karpaty Krosno's Dariusz Perkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute Zula Marut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arturo George saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Karpaty Krosno's Zula Marut nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arturo George made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Bartlomiej Munko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doctor Khumalo in the 84th minute. After 92 minutes of play, Karpaty Krosno's Zula Marut made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arturo George was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zula Marut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Arturo George tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that Karpaty Krosno were the better team. Karpaty Krosno's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
