The audience was convinced that Johan Kusudiarjo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Nesto was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ridho Rambing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

ROYALFOX FC's Ridho Rambing got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Nesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johan Kusudiarjo in the 57th minute of play. NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Leon Nesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ardha Sungkar in the 60th minute of play. Erasmo Fernendo lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave ROYALFOX FC a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daeng Yarangga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's Leon Nesto. 2-0. 89 minutes in the game Encas Saiman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Adrian Yuwana. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of NEWELL´S OLD BOYS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ROYALFOX FC:s goal. After 99 minutes of play, ROYALFOX FC's Ridho Rambing made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Nesto was left in no man's land by his defense there!
