Spectators: 7679 (Terracing: 5760, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 153) When Evaristo Abeitia came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Sportivo Desamparados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Abeitia couldn't finish the play. Thiago Caniggia struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Anier Oidor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sportivo Desamparados. Damaso Llin made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Marcelo Isusko sent off a good shot on target. If Carolo Servando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thiago Caniggia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Anier Oidor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anier Oidor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Abeitia in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute Thiago Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anier Oidor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Llin made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Marcelo Isusko sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Isusko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Damaso Llin. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Carolo Servando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sportivo Desamparados booed when SAN MARTIN F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desiderio Tiadoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Silvano Ugutz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anier Oidor skillfully saved the ball. In the 43rd minute, Evaristo Abeitia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 minutes of play, Sportivo Desamparados's Froilan Ordono made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anier Oidor was left in no man's land by his defense there! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Thiago Caniggia made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes Sportivo Desamparados got a freekick which was hit by Jeronimo Terciero. Siro Bortzaioriz charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Siro Bortzaioriz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. SAN MARTIN F.C. made a substitution. Faustino Mel replaced Braulio Chago. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sportivo Desamparados fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! Sportivo Desamparados's Thiago Caniggia got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Thiago Caniggia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Manuel Cordera hit a great ball. Thiago Caniggia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Anier Oidor made a huge save. After 76 played minutes Sportivo Desamparados got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Ugutz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alonzo Rito during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Rito didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 82 played minutes SAN MARTIN F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Severino Rami. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carolo Servando in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anier Oidor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th match minute, SAN MARTIN F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Isusko to maneuver through the defense. Carolo Servando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Oidor having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Severino Rami got a free kick in the 90th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Anier Oidor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
