In the 9th match minute, FC Kraków1983 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Cielencki to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Carolo Austin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Mochowak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Bittor in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damian Mochowak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute, Jakub Milan made a precise shot to the right of Hector Jakes. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Paulo Bittor might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Damian Mochowak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Bittor ran back to his position shaking his head. After 24 played minutes CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Severino Oinatz. Hector Jakes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Ochabski in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Carolo Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's supporters rose to their feet, but Carolo Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Mochowak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Mochowak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Bittor in the 39th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Edward Ochabski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hector Jakes. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Ochabski was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Bittor in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damian Mochowak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Damian Mochowak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Austin in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Ochabski came free, but Hector Jakes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Severino Oinatz pulled a muscle in his back after 62 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Matuch during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Osvaldo Loco was substituted for Severino Oinatz. After a rather tough play, FC Kraków1983's Adam Matuch got a free kick in the 64th minute. If Paulo Bittor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Adam Matuch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE booed when FC Kraków1983 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyryl Cielencki didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute Edward Ochabski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Jakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carolo Austin hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Carolo Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hector Gizon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Mochowak having to interfere. Damian Mochowak was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Paulo Bittor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo Bittor really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Damian Mochowak made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Hector Gizon sent off a good shot on target. CLUB ATLETICO RIVER PLATE's Paulo Bittor got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
