But to his dismay, Ian Hellkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Alvin Hedström kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Hellkvist in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Alebeck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Alebeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henning Gunnarsson in the 20th minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match Einar Heggert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magnus Vidman skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Mountainhammer United getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Sonny Brogren hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Rune Josefsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Alebeck skillfully saved the ball. 38 minutes into the match, Koffe Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Käcker came free, but Magnus Vidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Käcker might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Magnus Vidman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Käcker ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bengt Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Koffe Boys were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Käcker was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Victor Hellkvist notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Koffe Boys's Magnus Vidman. Magnus Vidman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 54 played minutes Mountainhammer United got a freekick which was hit by Folke Mellberg. In the 62nd minute Michael Käcker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magnus Vidman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Koffe Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Hellkvist to maneuver through the defense. Magnus Vidman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Mellberg in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Brogren in the 71st minute of play forced Koffe Boys's goalkeeper Magnus Vidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Mountainhammer United's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rune Josefsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Martin Alebeck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Hellkvist in the 79th minute. The supporters of Koffe Boys booed when Mountainhammer United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Haeger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Vidman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Hellkvist in the 84th minute of the match. Martin Alebeck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rune Josefsson in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Ian Hellkvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Alebeck was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. If Rune Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ian Hellkvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Koffe Boys's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the final whistle went the supporters of Koffe Boys were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Mountainhammer United side.
