In the 21st minute, Hamburg Fighters's Burkhard Niebler ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hasse Nelvad. Hasse Nelvad yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bendt Grenbo in the 23rd minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Matthew Jastrzembowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Darkwing Ducks getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Mohamed Stelsbo hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Nolan Bästlein shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hasse Nelvad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute Ariel Palkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Jastrzembowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthew Jastrzembowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bendt Grenbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Burkhard Niebler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Burkhard Niebler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hasse Nelvad. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohamed Stelsbo couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Friedel Wahlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Mohamed Stelsbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Ariel Palkov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matthew Jastrzembowski was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46th minute, Burkhard Niebler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hasse Nelvad was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ariel Palkov to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburg Fighters's zone, Ariel Palkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew Jastrzembowski came out of the goal and Ariel Palkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mohamed Stelsbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bendt Grenbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Matthew Jastrzembowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hektor Achard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 62nd minute by Ariel Palkov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 73rd minute, Ronnie Rehberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Darkwing Ducks's Hjalmar Hajsgaard got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Nolan Bästlein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hasse Nelvad skillfully saved the ball. If Burkhard Niebler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Stelsbo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hektor Achard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Hamburg Fighters support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
