The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20thth minute of the game Cesar Osorio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Bruno Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. PUNTARENENSE F.C were furious when Eladio Solis was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 21 minutes into the game, one of PUNTARENENSE F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Cipriano Sergipano walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 26 minutes into the match, PUNTARENENSE F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo da Fonseca came free, but Santiago Gomez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Faria in the 30th minute of play forced PUNTARENENSE F.C's goalkeeper Santiago Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PUNTARENENSE F.C's zone, Luiz Paulo da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gomez came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matheus de Lara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santiago Gomez. PUNTARENENSE F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. PUNTARENENSE F.C's Santiago Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo da Fonseca in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo da Fonseca in the 39th minute of play forced PUNTARENENSE F.C's goalkeeper Santiago Gomez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PUNTARENENSE F.C's Olger Porras got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Paulo da Fonseca in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santiago Gomez saved PUNTARENENSE F.C from getting behind. If Haroldo do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 65 minutes into the game, Matheus de Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PUNTARENENSE F.C the free kick. In the 65th match minute, ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus de Lara to maneuver through the defense. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Matheus de Lara managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eric Madriz in the 72 minute of the game. PUNTARENENSE F.C's Santiago Gomez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorginho Vargas in the 73rd minute of play. Olger Porras charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olger Porras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, PUNTARENENSE F.C's Olger Porras got a free kick in the 85th minute. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Matheus de Lara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for PUNTARENENSE F.C. After 92 minutes, Cipriano Sergipano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ and the PUNTARENENSE F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Cipriano Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in PUNTARENENSE F.C's zone, Jorginho Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Gomez came out of the goal and Jorginho Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
