After 12 played minutes Papilio got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Bollström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hurşit Tamerk got free with Ivan Västlund in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elliot Kinnman kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. When Baykan Uygan came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the KOO Tigers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baykan Uygan couldn't finish the play. Ulvi Saffet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Papilio's Ivan Västlund got control of the ball when Yaşar Tuğbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of KOO Tigers booed when Papilio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. KOO Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stellan Danielsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Özal Erbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaf Fernström, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Andreas Bollström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Özal Erbay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hannes Lundin to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Hannes Lundin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Özal Erbay was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With an all-out effort, Papilio's Özal Erbay threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stellan Danielsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 81st minute, Papilio's Gustaf Fernström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Özal Erbay. Özal Erbay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Hannes Lundin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Özal Erbay. That made the score 1-6 in the 86 minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Arda Ozan Sökmensu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KOO Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Papilio the free kick. After a rather tough play, KOO Tigers's Arda Ozan Sökmensu got a free kick in the 90th minute. 96 minutes into the match, KOO Tigers's goalkeeper Özal Erbay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Bollström. When the match was over Papilio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than KOO Tigers throughout the match.
