Bartolo Frederico was a little too slow when Wilfredo Middleton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-1. Diogo Yurin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Bartolo Frederico skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the last second Bartolo Frederico throw himself and got hold of the ball when Diogo Yurin in the 38thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Diogo Yurin succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 41st playminute. New England Minas's Wilbur Farrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Porfiro in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diogo Yurin was the one to do the kick off.
