Aleksotas FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Matungo Gaúcho the free kick. Nedas Stulpinas hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Walmyr Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virginijus Taujanskas having to interfere. Virginijus Taujanskas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Carioca in the 26th minute of the match. Nedas Stulpinas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fernando Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Aleksotas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Carioca came free, but Virginijus Taujanskas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Aleksotas FK's Benjaminas Česnauskas tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Wesley Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wesley Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aleksotas FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Virginijus Taujanskas went to the wrong direction when Sílvio Luiz Dias was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nojus Alijošius during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
