Felipe Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seppe Van Hoovelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Maarten Belmans left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Genk fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Seppe Van Hoovelt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felipe Tande. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Seppe Van Hoovelt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 27th minute, Maarten Belmans made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Tande. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. André Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Peter-Jan Rijniers made a huge save. If Seppe Van Hoovelt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Maarten Belmans scored to the left of an out of position Felipe Tande, making the score, 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Quirino during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's Rodrigo Quirino got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Seppe Van Hoovelt came free, but Felipe Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dries Vrins hit a great ball. The FC Gustavo FPRMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Genk were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
