Spectators: 7658 (Terracing: 5745, Seating: 1761, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edson Montenegro started the match with the kick off. Emil Podgoreanu scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro de Senna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Emil Podgoreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro de Senna came out of the goal and Emil Podgoreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro de Senna made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Emil Podgoreanu sent off a good shot on target. Simbad Marina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Sandro de Senna made a huge save. Sandro de Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Podgoreanu in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Flavius Câmpeanu made a precise shot to the right of Sandro de Senna. Corinthians's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Sandro de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Câmpeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Emil Podgoreanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandro de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Emil Podgoreanu in the 39thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandro de Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Marius Liviu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro de Senna came out of the goal and Marius Liviu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Furlan to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 46 minutes, Gerson Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerson Pernambucano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Sandro de Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Carpathians's Emil Podgoreanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emil Podgoreanu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Edgar Pușcariu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corinthians's Sandro de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavius Câmpeanu in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute Emil Podgoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandro de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Edson Montenegro. A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Almir Furlan hit a great ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians's goalkeeper Sandro de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Codruț Gafița fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro de Senna having to interfere. Carpathians's Leonard Hâncu was substituted for Ionuț Murgu. 73 minutes into the game, Flavius Câmpeanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Sandro de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alin Tătăruşanu made in the 79th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Emil Podgoreanu. Sandro de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavius Câmpeanu in the 80th minute of play. Sandro de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavius Câmpeanu's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. The throw-in from Leonard Hâncu in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Corinthians's Vladimir Soares. Sandro de Senna came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Carpathians's Flavius Câmpeanu. But to his dismay, Flavius Câmpeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 92 minutes into the game, Leonard Hâncu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpathians's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corinthians the free kick. In the 92nd match minute, Carpathians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Hâncu to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute, Flavius Câmpeanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 95 minutes, Gerson Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corinthians and the Carpathians players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carpathians walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
