In the 5th minute of the match, Bartlomiej Dula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eric Lilja saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eric Lilja was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Napoleon Mentis. If Aureliusz Basinski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. DFP's Eric Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartlomiej Dula in the 13th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, George Alebom managed to get in a good position for a shot. DFP's supporters rose to their feet, but George Alebom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damazy Popowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klement Naumowicz during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Damazy Popowicz came out of the goal and Joseph Dalman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Aureliusz Basinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Aureliusz Basinski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Eric Lilja, passed just outside the right post. Bartlomiej Dula struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Eric Lilja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mitschullen SSA. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Damazy Popowicz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alf Valrot in the 60th minute. Mitschullen SSA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DFP the free kick. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
