The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caio Luz got free with Bernardino Tonete in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Prudencio Froila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Vaz having to interfere. Geovanni Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Veto's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of S S Palestra Italia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of La cancha de tu hermana:s goal. Geovanni Vaz had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Edelmiro Goi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Caio Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28thth minute of the game Cayetano Veto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S S Palestra Italia's Geovanni Vaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Caio Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. S S Palestra Italia's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardino Tonete breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caio Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lázaro Frasquito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Vaz having to interfere.
