The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Guaberto Fertus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TALLERES fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. ESPİYESPOR's Şemsettin İlkutay got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Şaban Oktan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Primitivo Gonchan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Bernabe Katia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şaban Oktan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Katia kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Primitivo Gonchan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şaban Oktan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Arnalt hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 24th match minute, TALLERES was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albano Bernaldo to maneuver through the defense. Mario Cuenca made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Dündar Yağın sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the ESPİYESPOR defense, Arsenio Castel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Şaban Oktan. The ESPİYESPOR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Şaban Oktan should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Primitivo Gonchan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Şaban Oktan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şaban Oktan was a little too slow when Bernabe Katia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-4. Şaban Oktan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Gonchan, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 61st minute Guaberto Fertus suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 61 minutes, Dündar Yağın mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESPİYESPOR and the TALLERES players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Dündar Yağın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, ESPİYESPOR's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arsenio Castel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 64 minutes into the match, ESPİYESPOR's goalkeeper Şaban Oktan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Castel. Primitivo Gonchan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Şaban Oktan came out and tried to block the shot, but Primitivo Gonchan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 66th minute. ESPİYESPOR's Şaban Oktan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Leobardo in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Camilo Leobardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Şaban Oktan, 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şemsettin İlkutay during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albano Bernaldo's late challenge caught a ESPİYESPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Bernaldo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to TALLERES getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Albano Bernaldo hit a great ball. Arsenio Castel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Şaban Oktan made a huge save. TALLERES's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
