The referee showed Julian Castañares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paskal Iturcha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edwin van der Saar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute Paskal Iturcha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Saar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RKS Królewscy's Edwin van der Saar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ekialde Urtaza in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, Deportivo Galicia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekialde Urtaza to maneuver through the defense. Edwin van der Saar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekialde Urtaza in the 31st minute of play. Piotr Cebula's late challenge caught a Deportivo Galicia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Deportivo Galicia walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
