After 6 minutes, Shukrie Devan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albirex Niigata FC and the Arye Suryoye players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th minute, Shukrie Devan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Torsten Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arye Suryoye's Dan Delin got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albert Josefsson hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. The supporters of Arye Suryoye booed when Albirex Niigata FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Cho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Albert Josefsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arye Suryoye fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Arye Suryoye getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Markus Öfverman hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Dan Delin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arye Suryoye's Alexander Björnsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Arye Suryoye from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the game, Arye Suryoye's Torsten Lundberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sajeev Lam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Sajeev Lam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Lundberg in the 44th minute of play. When Shukrie Devan was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 44 minutes had been played. After 45 played minutes Albirex Niigata FC got a freekick which was hit by Shukrie Devan. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Delin was the one to do the kick off. Albert Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Sajeev Lam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Arye Suryoye's Torsten Lundberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Albirex Niigata FC's Sajeev Lam proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Albirex Niigata FC from getting a goal against them. Michael Jonsson charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Jonsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michael Jonsson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Albirex Niigata FC defense, Albert Josefsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sajeev Lam. The Albirex Niigata FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sajeev Lam should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goalkeeper Sajeev Lam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dan Delin. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's John Cho got a free kick in the 72nd minute. When Markus Öfverman came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Arye Suryoye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Markus Öfverman couldn't finish the play. Rifqi Chian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Björnsson having to make a save. In the 77thth minute of the game Afriz Hian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arye Suryoye's Alexander Björnsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rifqi Chian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arye Suryoye's Michael Jonsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 80th minute. The referee ordered Michael Jonsson off the ground. 84 minutes into the game, Dan Delin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Sajeev Lam was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Torsten Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arye Suryoye played a much better game than Albirex Niigata FC and deserved their victory. The Albirex Niigata FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
