The referee ignored Flamengo FSCMZ's protests and gave Cássio Souto a yellow card for diving instead. Chico Carneiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pontus Valström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chico Carneiro ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Blåvitt's goalkeeper Pontus Valström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo FSCMZ's zone, Rolf Collin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Alvarenga came out of the goal and Rolf Collin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Hannes Waller left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blåvitt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 25 played minutes Blåvitt got a freekick which was hit by Christer Aleberg. The supporters of Blåvitt booed when Flamengo FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Hedbom in the 32nd minute of play forced Flamengo FSCMZ's goalkeeper Gilberto Alvarenga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Celsinho Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Carneiro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Valström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes Blåvitt got a freekick which was hit by Olov Hedbom. Pontus Valström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Bastos in the 46th minute of the match. Blåvitt's Pontus Valström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chico Carneiro in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olov Hedbom was the one to do the kick off. Gilberto Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hannes Waller in the 64th minute of the match. After 69 minutes of play Blåvitt's Christer Aleberg was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 69 played minutes Blåvitt got a freekick which was hit by Christer Aleberg. Rolf Collin hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Chico Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pontus Valström was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Chico Carneiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Gilberto Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolf Collin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Blåvitt's Oliver Alströmmer got a free kick in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chico Carneiro in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The referee ordered Cássio Souto off the ground. A collision led to Flamengo FSCMZ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Cássio Souto hit a great ball. Vitinho Bastos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Valström having to interfere.
