The Bazellatin F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Diagüita's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Venetis came free, but Marín Quiñones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alekos Bakalakos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Bazellatin F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alekos Bakalakos couldn't finish the play. When Asier Sepúlveda fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Diagüita's protests and gave Asier Sepúlveda a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bazellatin F.C. booed when Club Deportivo Diagüita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Asier Sepúlveda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dimitris Venetis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiro Dentrup in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michalis Pergaminos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute, Fivos Daskalakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo Diagüita's Benito Babarovic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Michalis Pergaminos. That made the score 1-2 after 41 minutes of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiro Dentrup stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bazellatin F.C.'s Omiros Chelioudakis got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Michalis Pergaminos went to the wrong direction when Joel Tordesillas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Stratos Savouras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bazellatin F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Stratos Savouras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marín Quiñones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alekos Bakalakos in the 71st minute of play forced Club Deportivo Diagüita's goalkeeper Marín Quiñones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bazellatin F.C.'s Michalis Pergaminos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabino Pizarro in the 72nd minute of play. Stratos Savouras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marín Quiñones having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Omiros Chelioudakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bazellatin F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Diagüita the free kick. Bazellatin F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
