Fernandinho Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Duda Barbosa hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 played minutes, Catadão's Elder de Queiroz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vitório Martins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catadão reached it. A collision led to Catadão getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Maurinho Furlan hit a great ball. Teodoro de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Moisés Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19thth minute of the game Fernando Varela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 20 DE SETEMBRO's Vitório Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moisés Esteves made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ismael Porto sent off a good shot on target. Vitório Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Furlan in the 24th minute of the match. When Fernando Varela came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Catadão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Varela couldn't finish the play. Vitório Martins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Varela's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Varela in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Martins saved 20 DE SETEMBRO from getting behind. Moisés Esteves made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Teodoro de Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. The Catadão fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Catadão's Fernando Varela looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Catadão's Jairo do Vale got a free kick in the 44th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Moisés Esteves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Varela made a kick off. Maurinho Furlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitório Martins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to 20 DE SETEMBRO getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Duda Barbosa hit a great ball. Vitório Martins made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Vitório Rezende sent off a good shot on target. Gildo Albuquerque hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, 20 DE SETEMBRO's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Rezende came free, but Vitório Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ismael Porto hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Vitório Martins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Vitório Rezende hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Vitório Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Varela in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Martins saved 20 DE SETEMBRO from getting behind. Franklin Fonseca's late challenge caught a 20 DE SETEMBRO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franklin Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Franklin Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro de Alcântara hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Vitório Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The 20 DE SETEMBRO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Catadão were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
