An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Mathijs in the 9th minute of play forced Nueva Bodega's goalkeeper Victorino Rosio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claude Van Dijck in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victorino Rosio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Gill Uijterhoeven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sem Severens came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Nueva Bodega's Ildefonso Frascuelo. But to his dismay, Ildefonso Frascuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 19 minutes into the game, Nueva Bodega's Ildefonso Frascuelo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sem Severens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Winksele 2016 were furious when Michel Dauwe was red carded, 22 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 22nd minute of the game. One of Winksele 2016:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nueva Bodega:s goal. Winksele 2016:s Sem Severens showed great skill when he stopped Haroldo Gauargi:s penalty. Artemio Arlo hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Jan-Simon Van Hemel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Rosio. Nueva Bodega's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jan-Simon Van Hemel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Sem Severens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borgui Love, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lorenzo Nesor was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Ildefonso Frascuelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Sem Severens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jan-Simon Van Hemel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claude Van Dijck kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Nueva Bodega's Haroldo Gauargi got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Borgui Love shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sem Severens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, David Aelgoet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Winksele 2016 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. 79 minutes into the match, Jan-Simon Van Hemel notched a goal, 5-3, to the right of Nueva Bodega's Victorino Rosio. Victorino Rosio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Aelgoet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eloy Eyague during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
