Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) 5 minutes into the match, Sam Bertholet notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Gullegem's Arthur Ottevaere. Arthur Ottevaere was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martial Laude made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Kenny De Block sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the FC Gullegem defense, Elias Ripoll kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Ottevaere. The FC Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Ottevaere should have stopped the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Les diables noirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modeste Marquez to maneuver through the defense. FC Gullegem's Janes Hendricks shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Martial Laude but with some difficulty. If Jerom Van Impe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Gullegem booed when Les diables noirs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Ripoll didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Kenny De Block left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Gullegem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 34 minutes into the match, Les diables noirs's goalkeeper Martial Laude had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kenny De Block. Arthur Ottevaere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Vauzelle in the 40th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Nicolaas Winnepennincx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gullegem and the Les diables noirs players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes FC Gullegem got a freekick which was hit by Nicolaas Winnepennincx. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Nicolaas Winnepennincx managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolaas Winnepennincx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martial Laude breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sam Bertholet came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arthur Ottevaere could save by the left post. 52 minutes into the game, Jeoffrey Deroek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gullegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Les diables noirs the free kick. Jeoffrey Deroek kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. FC Gullegem's Arthur Ottevaere proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. Martial Laude came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Gullegem's Jerom Van Impe. But to his dismay, Jerom Van Impe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 61st minute, Les diables noirs's Elias Ripoll dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Les diables noirs's Mario Vauzelle slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arthur Ottevaere. That made the score 2-4 after 77 minutes of play. Les diables noirs's Mario Vauzelle got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Mario Vauzelle dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arthur Ottevaere, 2-5. 87 minutes into the game, Sam Bertholet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Arthur Ottevaere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Oscar Carrière had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfons Daems recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
