Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Forssberg in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucio Geofredo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Rönnöfors FF booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute, Kim Kvick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andréas Albom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere. Rönnöfors FF's Johan Hultin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Rönnöfors FF from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Cipriano Aznaro got a free kick in the 13th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Florida Gulf Coast's zone, Daniel Forssberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Geofredo came out of the goal and Daniel Forssberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johan Hultin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Jerico, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Johan Hultin stood somewhat misplaced when Fabio Jerico came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximino Beila got free with Johan Hultin in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25thth minute of the game Daniel Forssberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Florida Gulf Coast's Lucio Geofredo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Johan Hultin made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Higinio Jerano sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Florida Gulf Coast's Jeremias Guifre got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Florida Gulf Coast booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Flinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Johan Hultin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johan Hultin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kim Kvick to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucio Geofredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute, Higinio Jerano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johan Hultin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Jerano in the 62nd minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Johan Hultin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Kvick couldn't finish the play. Lucio Geofredo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kim Kvick in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Maximino Beila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximino Beila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johan Hultin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Johan Hultin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Higinio Jerano in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Gabriel Sanchez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florida Gulf Coast's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rönnöfors FF the free kick. The supporters of Rönnöfors FF booed when Florida Gulf Coast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Sanchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Florida Gulf Coast were the better team. Florida Gulf Coast's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
