An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Mangueira in the 11th minute of play forced Æsir Ásgarðr's goalkeeper Arnviður Þorsteinsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnviður Þorsteinsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arthur Soeiro in the 12th minute. In the 35th minute, Catugi FC's Beto Mangueira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Arnviður Þorsteinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gil de Carvalho in the 58th minute of play. Arnviður Þorsteinsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Beto Mangueira went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Arnviður Þorsteinsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnviður Þorsteinsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute of the game Fabinho Teixeira made a throw-in which Arthur Soeiro played forward. Arnviður Þorsteinsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Mangueira in the 75th minute of play. Æsir Ásgarðr were furious when Herfinnur Sverrisson was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 78th minute, one of Æsir Ásgarðr:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Æsir Ásgarðr. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Catugi FC. Décio Matorin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnviður Þorsteinsson. 8-0. In the 84th minute of the game Fabinho Teixeira made a throw-in which Arthur Soeiro played forward. 90 minutes into the match, Beto Mangueira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnviður Þorsteinsson. Æsir Ásgarðr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Mangueira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. Neisti Runólfsson charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neisti Runólfsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 93 played minutes Æsir Ásgarðr got a freekick which was hit by Neisti Runólfsson. Arnviður Þorsteinsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Soeiro in the 96th minute of the match. When Arnleifur Oddvarsson fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Æsir Ásgarðr's protests and gave Arnleifur Oddvarsson a yellow card for diving instead. Arnleifur Oddvarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. After 99 played minutes, Catugi FC's Décio Matorin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnviður Þorsteinsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Catugi FC reached it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Catugi FC fully deserved thier win.
