Ton Terpstra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Young Benefica's zone, Baldemar Alonso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ton Terpstra came out of the goal and Baldemar Alonso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ton Terpstra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldemar Alonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Young Benefica's zone, Basilio Herrero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ton Terpstra came out of the goal and Basilio Herrero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Young Benefica's goal looked a bit too open when Baldemar Alonso came free, but Ton Terpstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Baldemar Alonso put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ton Terpstra. When Baldemar Alonso came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Abeluse Flow fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldemar Alonso couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute Basilio Herrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ton Terpstra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Young Benefica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Blikman to maneuver through the defense. If Baldemar Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Basilio Herrero to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Herrero in the 52nd minute of play forced Young Benefica's goalkeeper Ton Terpstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quique Contratas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoon van Zelst in the 55th minute of play. Abeluse Flow's Quique Contratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yorrick Borker in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldemar Alonso in the 65th minute of play forced Young Benefica's goalkeeper Ton Terpstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 71 minutes of play, Abeluse Flow's Baldemar Alonso made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ton Terpstra was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Young Benefica's Antoon van Zelst got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to Young Benefica getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Antoon van Zelst hit a great ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Basilio Herrero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Young Benefica's Ton Terpstra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Basilio Herrero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ton Terpstra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basilio Herrero in the 95th minute of play. Abeluse Flow played a much better game than Young Benefica and deserved their victory. The Young Benefica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
