After a defensive mix-up in Fesport FC's zone, Yeray Saul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prospero Sarrate came out of the goal and Yeray Saul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tito Valdivia charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tito Valdivia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of El Eterno Campeón booed when Fesport FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Valdivia didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Fesport FC's Prospero Sarrate got control of the ball when Tanio Mascaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mergildo Landa in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leandro Daneri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 36 minutes, Mergildo Landa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fesport FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mergildo Landa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 38th minute Freddy Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Daneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mergildo Landa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 41 played minutes Fesport FC got a freekick which was hit by Anter Baeza. After having played for 42 minutes, Mergildo Landa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fesport FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mergildo Landa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute Freddy Palacios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Daneri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, El Eterno Campeón's goal looked a bit too open when Mergildo Landa came free, but Leandro Daneri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mergildo Landa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pacho Gonzalvez kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, one of Fesport FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fesport FC. Prospero Sarrate had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Tanio Mascaro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Fesport FC's Mergildo Landa in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Eterno Campeón's goalie prevented a goal. In the 69th match minute, Fesport FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benvide Bouzas to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Daneri didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fesport FC's Mergildo Landa shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Mergildo Landa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Daneri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Fesport FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than El Eterno Campeón.
