When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Jacobo Olivar took a quick shot and it went in 7-1 without a chance for Andrézinho Mattos to make any attempt to save it. The Club Atletico Lanus fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Cruzeiro FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
