Walmyr Mello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Janusz Klimkiewicz took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walmyr Mello. Walmyr Mello dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janusz Klimkiewicz in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walmyr Mello saved FLACONQUISTA from getting behind. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by FLACONQUISTA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gwidon Majusiak was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Devils's players had a chance to rest. The audience was convinced that Janusz Klimkiewicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Walmyr Mello was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Walmyr Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janusz Klimkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FLACONQUISTA booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugon Wierzbicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Rydzyk was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Gilvan Vale capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilvan Vale really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. In the 47th minute Dominik Biraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walmyr Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-6.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Loureiro to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Dominik Biraga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Biraga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 85 played minutes FLACONQUISTA got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Ramalho. Bartosz Mosiniak might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmyr Mello. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bartosz Mosiniak ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 91st minute, Wesley Loureiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Macedo's late challenge caught a Red Devils's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glauco Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FLACONQUISTA getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Glauco Macedo hit a great ball. When Dominik Biraga came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Red Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Biraga couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Red Devils could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FLACONQUISTA throughout the match.
