The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Roy Blake had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Örjan Sandell. After some careless play in the Qikiqtarjuaq FC defense, Örjan Sandell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roy Blake. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roy Blake should have stopped the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Maximilian Brander dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roy Blake, 2-0. In the 20th minute Maximilian Brander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Qikiqtarjuaq FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Scottie Correa hit a great ball. Bart Lehman hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Örjan Sandell struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Roy Blake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TSIGALKO. In the 32nd match minute, Qikiqtarjuaq FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scottie Correa to maneuver through the defense. Björn Ahlquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Roy Blake made a huge save. Roy Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Sandell in the 35th minute of play. Björn Ahlquist came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Roy Blake could save by the left post. After 42 played minutes Qikiqtarjuaq FC got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Velasquez. Roy Blake didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 4-0. Lucien Velasquez hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Örjan Sandell to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Örjan Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Qikiqtarjuaq FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bart Lehman hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in TSIGALKO's zone, Brooks Yates stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isak Björkdal came out of the goal and Brooks Yates tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baptiste Ritchie kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Roy Blake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Sandell in the 70th minute of play. Roy Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredrik Ahlfors in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Jonsson in the 72nd minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Roy Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Blake stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Ahlquist's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Roy Blake showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Örjan Sandell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Roy Blake was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84th match minute, TSIGALKO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Björkdahl to maneuver through the defense. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Jewel Coats got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Sandell in the 88th minute of play forced Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goalkeeper Roy Blake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Örjan Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Björn Ahlquist made a precise shot to the right of Roy Blake. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. 96 minutes into the match, Örjan Sandell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roy Blake. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Sandell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. TSIGALKO had played much better football throughout.
