Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antônio Carlos Melo started the match with the kick off. Roni Van Hoyveldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederico de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Ernesto Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roni Van Hoyveldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matheus Arósio got free with Roni Van Hoyveldt in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes into the game, Chelsicha's Antônio Carlos Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roni Van Hoyveldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Diogo Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leo Van Mechelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Roni Van Hoyveldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedê Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes, Arnauld Van Eynde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the YR Mechelen and the Chelsicha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arnauld Van Eynde kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Marquez in the 29th minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Roni Van Hoyveldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Benoit Clinckspoor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to YR Mechelen getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Stanny Van Wontergem hit a great ball. With a little luck, YR Mechelen's Roni Van Hoyveldt got control of the ball when Frederico de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leo Van Mechelen hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Frederico de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsicha's supporters rose to their feet, but Frederico de Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roni Van Hoyveldt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leo Van Mechelen made a kick off. Chelsicha's Diogo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leo Van Mechelen in the 55th minute of play. Matheus Arósio hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Diogo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Van Mechelen in the 59th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Van Mechelen during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Leo Van Mechelen. In the 69th minute of the match Osvaldo Sarmento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roni Van Hoyveldt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Roni Van Hoyveldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benoit Clinckspoor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Diogo Velloso made a huge save. After 78 played minutes Chelsicha got a freekick which was hit by Dedê Marquez. The supporters of Chelsicha booed when YR Mechelen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leo Van Mechelen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, YR Mechelen's Benoit Clinckspoor got a free kick in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, YR Mechelen's Leo Van Mechelen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Diogo Velloso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Roni Van Hoyveldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Varela in the 91st minute of play. Ernesto Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chelsicha had played much better football throughout.
