After 16 minutes, Rosendo Steven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARTINETA and the Gaviotas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rosendo Steven kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Guido Herrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Jerico in the 19th minute. During the 23rd minute of the match Rosendo Steven completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rosendo Steven a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 24th match minute, MARTINETA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Steven to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th match minute, Gaviotas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Jerico to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Gaufred fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Asur having to interfere. After 29 played minutes MARTINETA got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Gaufred. Sebastian Gimenez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Guido Herrera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Guido Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomiro Oliverios in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Gaviotas FC booed when MARTINETA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Perutxo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Jerico scored 2-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guido Herrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, MARTINETA's goalkeeper Guido Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Jakobe. Benito Eusko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 45 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, one of MARTINETA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Gaviotas FC a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Baldomiro Oliverios, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MARTINETA's Guido Herrera. 3-0.

Guido Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Jerico in the 54th minute of play. Pedro Asur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jonas Bastian in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Gaviotas FC's Gaston Gudesteo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Jonas Bastian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Esteve Naelio fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gaviotas FC's protests and gave Esteve Naelio a yellow card for diving instead. Esteve Naelio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Esteve Naelio hit a great ball. Guido Herrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Ortle in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Ildefonso Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filomeno Lorenz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 78 played minutes Gaston Gudesteo shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for MARTINETA's Guido Herrera to catch but Gaston Gudesteo was lucky. It became 4-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. When Jaime Jerico came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Gaviotas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Jerico couldn't finish the play. Cleto Perutxo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Guido Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Gimenez in the 88th minute of play. After 89 minutes of play Gaviotas FC's Jaime Jerico was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Gaviotas FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jaime Jerico hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute Ildefonso Ortle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the MARTINETA defense, Ildefonso Ortle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guido Herrera. The MARTINETA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guido Herrera should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Gaviotas FC were the better team. Gaviotas FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
