When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Gilbert Löfgren took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Václav Musil to make any attempt to save it. Rastislav Pokuta's late challenge caught a Kronan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rastislav Pokuta helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kronan booed when Rohozec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
