Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Martin Lobo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Petrică Geantă managed to get in a good position for a shot. MIT Craiova's supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Geantă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Urko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcu Voitiş hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Petrică Geantă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Urko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Emil Glodeanu. After some careless play in the MIT Craiova defense, Placido Estefan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iulian Burtea. The MIT Craiova fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iulian Burtea should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Petrică Geantă came free, but Gabriel Urko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Dionisio Oxel hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, MIT Craiova's Gabriel Urko threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petrică Geantă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arsenal FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mihai Cismaș was slow to take the kick. During this time MIT Craiova's players had a chance to rest. The corner led MIT Craiova's Mihai Cismaș to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Urko despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sever Dobrescu hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Iulian Burtea came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal FC's Martin Lobo. But to his dismay, Martin Lobo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 32 minutes, Emil Glodeanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MIT Craiova and the Arsenal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Glodeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With 35 minutes on the clock, Mauro Evarado commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Gabriel Urko had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Mihai Cismaș's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mihai Cismaș did an outstanding performance 38 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Gabriel Urko in the goal. After 44 played minutes MIT Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Emil Glodeanu. Petrică Geantă took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Urko. Gabriel Urko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Marcu Voitiş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Petrică Geantă came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the MIT Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Geantă couldn't finish the play. Marcu Voitiş kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Valer Papadima kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Gabriel Urko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petrică Geantă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petrică Geantă in the 87th minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remus Chilian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Urko having to interfere. When Petrică Geantă came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the MIT Craiova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petrică Geantă couldn't finish the play. Petrică Geantă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 97 minutes, Marcu Voitiş managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MIT Craiova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcu Voitiş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. MIT Craiova had won after a very even match.
