Angel Miliano started the match with the kick off. If Tomás Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Rik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dalmacio Maidana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Salvador Leocadio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Espirillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Leocadio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmacio Maidana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomás Rik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmacio Maidana having to interfere. Dalmacio Maidana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Txatxu in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Rik during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of AcinetobacterFC booed when Espirillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Rik didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Hermengildo Oto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmacio Maidana skillfully saved the ball. After 27 played minutes Espirillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Leo Quirce. In the 30th minute of the game, Ubaldo Otsoa landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. During the 30th minute of the match Tomás Rik completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tomás Rik a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Txatxu in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmacio Maidana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Clemente Txatxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmacio Maidana was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Clemente Txatxu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Prudencio Luken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Clemente Txatxu made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Espirillo FC's Salvador Leocadio got a free kick in the 51st minute. Dalmacio Maidana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Txatxu in the 54th minute of play. The Espirillo FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Espirillo FC's Clemente Txatxu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 68th minute, Prudencio Luken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 73rd minute, Prudencio Luken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AcinetobacterFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Clemente Txatxu struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Dalmacio Maidana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espirillo FC. In the 84th minute of the match Leo Quirce sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmacio Maidana skillfully saved the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Norberto Beliran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Isaac Delfino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
