After having played for 9 minutes, Aldo Leoiar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Matorrales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo Leoiar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romulo Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jens Alebäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 17 in the game by Nils-Åke Lindberg from a close distance when the talented Jacobo Telesforo managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Matorrales's players were relieved. Hermengildo Firme hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Jacobo Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 20th minute of play. Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The throw-in from Dan Beckeman in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Atlético Matorrales's Julio Obeko. 41 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Lindberg came free, but Jacobo Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Ponc made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Nils-Åke Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bora Bora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils-Åke Lindberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Åke Lindberg in the 54th minute of play forced Atlético Matorrales's goalkeeper Jacobo Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atlético Matorrales's Jacobo Telesforo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Magnusson in the 60th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Ekberg came free, but Jacobo Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Nils-Åke Lindberg notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Atlético Matorrales's Jacobo Telesforo. In the 86th minute, Hermengildo Firme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the match, Atlético Matorrales's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Magnusson came free, but Jacobo Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacobo Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils-Åke Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Nils-Åke Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bora Bora fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bora Bora fans cheered their team off the field, for while Atlético Matorrales had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
