After a rather tough play, EC Fragata's Alexandre Soares got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If Gonzalo Abarzuza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Idoate kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Silvinho da Silva sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvino Anania skillfully saved the ball. Alvino Anania showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Tomás Alday mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Algarrobo and the EC Fragata players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Algarrobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Alday to maneuver through the defense. Edu Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Alvino Anania tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Alday, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Edu Paiva's late challenge caught a Algarrobo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Paiva helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to EC Fragata getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Edu Paiva hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Silvinho da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anselmo Casanova, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Alday got free with Cássio Mazza in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Edu Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvino Anania was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Edu Paiva took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alvino Anania. Alvino Anania dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gonzalo Abarzuza's late challenge caught a EC Fragata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Abarzuza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Gonzalo Abarzuza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half EC Fragata were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Zézinho Trigo made the kick off in the second half. EC Fragata were furious when Silvinho da Silva was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in EC Fragata fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Algarrobo. Anselmo Casanova stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cássio Mazza. 1-3. 61 minutes into the game, Juan Jesus Orrego cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Cássio Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zézinho Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvino Anania made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Paiva in the 69th minute of play. Algarrobo's Alvino Anania proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo from getting a goal against them. When Tomás Alday was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Algarrobo's Tomás Alday got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 87th minute Edu Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvino Anania saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edu Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvino Anania having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched EC Fragata eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
