Falcão Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Paublo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Paublo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Falcão Couto was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When Matheus Fernandez fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fala Sério FC's protests and gave Matheus Fernandez a yellow card for diving instead. Pastor Ostadar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Belarmo might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Falcão Couto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Belarmo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute Matheus Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Tibalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ildefonso Belarmo during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 48 played minutes Deportivo Luz y Fuerza got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Belarmo. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Matheus Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Deportivo Luz y Fuerza getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Natalio Lico hit a great ball. A hard shot by Baltazar Cearense from long distance, 53 minutes into the match, got Eusebio Tibalt's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 55 minutes into the game, Fala Sério FC's Mauro Meireles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebio Tibalt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 59 minutes of play, Deportivo Luz y Fuerza's Osvaldo Paublo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falcão Couto was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Deportivo Luz y Fuerza getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ciro Criston hit a great ball. In the 70th match minute, Fala Sério FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauro Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Eusebio Tibalt was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Ricardo Nunes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardo Nunes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 82nd match minute, Deportivo Luz y Fuerza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Kemen to maneuver through the defense. Falcão Couto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Paublo in the 91st minute of the match. Tobias Bermudez kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Baltazar Cearense, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Matheus Fernandez got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The Fala Sério FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fala Sério FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
