Neto Vazquez's late challenge caught a Capibaribe Stars's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Neto Vazquez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, Neto Vazquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Segundo Sauca kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 5 minutes, Orlan Alcantara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Riemannian and the Capibaribe Stars players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th minute, Orlan Alcantara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 6 played minutes, Capibaribe Stars's Danilo Teixeira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper David Mangas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capibaribe Stars reached it. Gino Vidal's late challenge caught a Riemannian's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Vidal helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 8 minutes, Ovidio Macho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riemannian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ovidio Macho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Riemannian booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riemannian's David Mangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Peres in the 15th minute of play. When Segundo Sauca fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riemannian's protests and gave Segundo Sauca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Segundo Sauca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Mangas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Peres in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Peres to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Segundo Sauca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mathias Coelho. Segundo Sauca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Nel Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the game, Riemannian's Renato Diaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mathias Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 29 minutes, Acácio Peres made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Riemannian's David Mangas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 33 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Pinho. Mathias Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Sauca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the game, Riemannian's Renato Diaz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mathias Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 47th minute, Louis Gonzalvez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.
The wind increased when Renato Diaz made the kick off in the second half. When Serginho Koehler fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capibaribe Stars's protests and gave Serginho Koehler a yellow card for diving instead. Serginho Koehler hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Fiori Sabóia got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ovidio Macho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riemannian's supporters rose to their feet, but Ovidio Macho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute, Zeca Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Diaz scored 4-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Riemannian's zone, Conrado Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Mangas came out of the goal and Conrado Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renato Diaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Coelho having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Koehler to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Acácio Peres in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Mangas saved Riemannian from getting behind. Mathias Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nel Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Peres got free with David Mangas in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 83 minutes, Renato Diaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riemannian's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeca Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeca Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 minutes of play Capibaribe Stars's Zeca Cordeiro was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 90 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Zeca Cordeiro. Mathias Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato Diaz in the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Riemannian fully deserved thier win.
