Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Martin Unciuleanu started the match with the kick off. In the 14th minute, Martin Unciuleanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Friedmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mugur Muscă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Poli Timisoara's attentive Robin Wörns managed to snatch the ball when Iustin Zamfir made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. In the 28th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Wörns to maneuver through the defense. Cornel Manciulea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Simon Friedmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grigore Ozon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thomas Polster in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uwe Kuinke in the 36th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Grigore Ozon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uwe Kuinke got free with Grigore Ozon in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Kulovitz came free, but Grigore Ozon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niclas Hillerzeder hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half Raureni Academy were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justin Kulovitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Poli Timisoara's Simon Friedmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Unciuleanu in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ion Pârâianu hit a great ball. If Ion Pârâianu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grigore Ozon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Kulovitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Raureni Academy's Martin Unciuleanu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Simon Friedmann. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. Grigore Ozon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Kuinke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ion Pârâianu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Polster hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Raureni Academy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
