Karol Zapolski who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Taco Zwartkruis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Derk van Boxel made a kick off. Taco Zwartkruis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Slawomir Adamowicz went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 57th minute of the match, Henk Pieters tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tomasz Rutkowski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 59th minute, Luuk Harmannus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomasz Rutkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derk van Boxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes Szczakowianka got a freekick which was hit by Mieszko Puszynski. Derk van Boxel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tomasz Rutkowski came out and tried to block the shot, but Derk van Boxel slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Roelof van Kampen took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Tomasz Rutkowski to make any attempt to save it. Mieszko Puszynski scored 4-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taco Zwartkruis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
